MAUI AND THE SUN

In ancient times the sun traveled much faster across the sky than it does today. The days were very short with hardly enough time for people to hunt or fish and they could not do their gardens .Many people complained that not long ago they had got up had breakfast and prepared their tools for work before the sun slowly disappeared into the night sky.Maui decided that him and his brothers would put a rope around the sun with help from his brothers to make the sun travel much more slower. That way every one would have time to do their things.

This year has been hard working and fun.
This year I achieved most my goals.
This year I succeeded in getting a merit award.
This year I am proud of being in Whakapoungakau house group.
This year I wish I focused more on my maths.
This year I wish I worked harder on my forensic home work.
Next year I want to focus  more on my maths time tables.
The goals I achieved were improve in the beep test'go up in my reading test results.
The goals I want to set for next year are the same as this year but a bit higher.
In ten tears I see my self earning money in a good job' travelling.

Fingerprints

Do you know that each and every one of us have very individual traits and looks but we have one thing that makes us completely unique and cannot be altered: these are our fingerprints.Fingerprints - and their individuality - are one of the most important pieces of evidence that can be found at a crime.

Classifying Fingerprints

Back in 1892 Francis Galton established a classification system for fingerprints working on the old principle of an Indian magistrate who made people sign contracts with their fingerprints. This was considered to be the most personal way of signing contracts and through time he noticed that each fingerprint was different.

         BIG SNAKES
Flip flosh splash what was that was that a 46 meter titanoboa or was that 1 of the other worlds giant snakes hi I am here today to talk to you about the worlds biggiest snakes did you know that there are 3000 species of snakes 600 of them are veniemis and 10 of them are the BIG snakes did you also know that the worlds biggiest snake was found in Columbia south America in 2008 the fossil of an enormis snake was found in an old open coal mine it was the 46 meter killer titanoboa. I found out that there are a lot of big snakes such as the Burmese python-African rock python-Python reticulated-Titanobao-and the Green anaconda the titanoboa is a big snake but sadly people think it is a myth because it is 46 meters long and it weighs 2017 kg but luckly we all know the rest are real.there are a lot of snakes in south folrida that the population of green anacondas are high
Do any of yous hate snakes if you do plz don’t .snakes are cool not because they are big or slimey but because they have a mind of their own I personaly i like big snakes because they strange their prey to death 1 anaconda swallowed a crocodile alive and it ripped the snake open from the inside out snakes pay a important roll such as the food chain like when they feed on and kill rodent and insects.

So the reason why I picked snakes for my speech topic is because when I was 5 I went to Australia for my birthday and healed a snake with my koro that’s when I had intrest in  these big slimey reptiles.thank you for listening hope you enjoyed
